Good morning, friends!
This post has nothing to do with travel, but I find that writing in the mornings is rather soothing, as I sip my iced, caramel coffee. I stepped outside to let my dog out this morning and was graced with a lovely, crisp morning breeze. After days of scorching, hot weather and humidity, I truly cherish this cool weather.
As I gear up for a job interview tomorrow, I begin to find excitement about working again! (If I’m offered the job). Although, with all this time off, I’ve been able to get A LOT done! Today, I’ll be spending my restful and tranquil Sunday, deciding on what to wear for my interview. I’m still contemplating on whether or not I’ll be wearing a blazer, as professional as it may be. It will depend on how hot is, but I think either way, I’ll end up wearing it.
And soon after, I’ll have to start preparing myself for my next adventure to WA state. I will be keeping a close eye on the weather there because I’ve heard it rains a lot and I anticipate the weather being a slight change from Oklahoma. To be perfectly honest, though, I wouldn’t mind a few rainy days, as crazy as that sounds. But when you live in a state where it’s constantly 90-100 degree weather, you begin to appreciate the cooler days and even rainy ones! (At least, I do)!
Lately, I’ve started to become more of an avid blogger, but just as a hobby. It gives me something to do and I enjoy sharing my travels and life with others. I’m working on a small space for myself so that I have an area to sit at when I’m writing. As of now, I write ALL my posts through my iPhone 5! I know, it’s crazy! I have a laptop, but I can never sit still with one, unless I’m at a desk. That being said, at my leisurely pace, I’ve been creating a small space where I can collect my thoughts and sit still at a desk and write.
It’s slowly coming along. I still haven’t found a chair I’m in love with and they’re SO expensive. I’d be better off making one myself, but I can’t find the motivation to do so, nor will I ever! I’m still at a point in my life when I’d rather spend the money I do have, on memories rather than items and decor! For now, I’ll just drag one of the chairs from our dining room and call it good!
Oh! If I haven’t mentioned before, I’m getting married next August! So I’ve been doing LOTS of wedding planning. Just watching three of my friends getting married looked exhausting enough and now, here I am, doing the same! There’s so much detail you have to put into a wedding; the flowers, venue, catering, photographer, dj, bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen suits, theme, color, tables, chairs, church, blah blah blah! I’m suddenly tired just thinking about it. But no, in all seriousness, all this planning is exciting and when I think about the people who will be there, I get VERY ecstatic! So far, I think I’m on top of things. Aside from the big stuff, I have a good idea of what I want my dress to look like and I have my bridesmaids dresses picked out.
Well, enough wedding jibber jabber. Hope you all enjoy your Sunday!
