Gallivanting through the City!

One of the many things I love about cities, is how close to home they make me feel. I grew up near small cities and big cities, so it was definitely a part of my childhood. Being so far from home, there’s nothing I love more than spending a day gallivanting in the city.

The city I live in is NOTHING like Oklahoma City, so I didn’t want my friend’s only impression of Oklahoma to be of the city I live in. Oklahoma City is great, too; it’s not too big or too small. If you want a less overwhelming city experience, this is the city to visit. It’s very spread out, but for the most part, you can walk from place to place, more so around the city center.

I apologize that my posts are very short, but I have company, so I have to make them quick.

We spent the first half of our city exploring, in the Paseo Arts District. I love this place because it's small and cozy, holds many art galleries and restaurants. The architecture and pastel colored buildings are gorgeous.

For lunch, I brought my friend to the very popular, Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill. We feasted on pulled pork, burgers, and fries, while enjoying a lovely view of the riverwalk. We were also highly entertained by a goose who was standing right across from us fluffing its feathers by the river.

We thought we'd walk off our lunch by walking along the riverwalk, into the center of the city. Despite it being 90 degrees out (in October), it was gorgeous.

This was a mural we passed as we made our way into the center of the city. Clearly, I found it very fascinating.

We walked through the meandering paths around the Botanical Gardens.
