Location: Mount Rainier, WA
Saturday was probably one of the best days I’ve had this year.
My birthday was a few days ago and I told my husband that all I really wanted was to go hiking around one of my favorite mountains – Mount Rainier. At a peak of about 14,000 ft, this gorgeous mountain gets a quite a sea of visitors, ready to capture and bask in the beauty of what is Mount Rainier. The first time I had visited the mountain was back in 2015, but I didn’t really get to hike up or around it. So I was especially excited when a friend of mine suggested taking the Skyline Trail , leading to Panorama Point, one of the most scenic and breathtaking points you will find on Mount Rainier!
The day started out so gray and gloomy. The trail going up was tranquil, but also a bit strenuous. Shavings of mist passed over the mountains and onto us, as we walked through it. Once we reached Panorama Point, the sun was struggling to make an appearance, but we sat and waited to see if it would finally come out. After a few minutes, Mount Rainier and the Cascades began to appear, slowly, as the clouds began to part… And so begins my Mount Rainier photo diary:
